The beginnings of the Ducrot adventure: From Earth to Roads
The history of our family and our company Monaco Royal Limousines is closely linked to our French ancestors.
In 1755, Léonard Ducrot was born in Joux-la-Ville, in the Yonne department of Burgundy. In addition to his work as a ploughman, in 1779 he decided to set up a valeting business, following his marriage to Anne Françoise Riotte.
The tradition continues: From father to son, public car drivers
The lineage continues with the next two generations, Lazare Ducrot, born in 1793 in Couchenoire, Joux-la-Ville, still in the Yonne department, and then Louis Maurice Ducrot, born in 1819, also in Joux-la-Ville, France.
They both continued their father's trade as public carriage drivers and valet drivers, the forerunner of the grand remise business.
La Renaissance Moderne: Jonathan Ducrot brings tradition back to life
It was with drive and determination that Jonathan Ducrot, five generations later, perhaps thanks to the family link, took over the chauffeur-driven vehicle transport business in France in 2015.
Monaco Royal Limousines: Family fusion and tradition perpetuated
Together with his younger brother, Nicolas Ducrot, he bought out a Monegasque coach company that had been operating in the principality for some twenty years.
This decision led to the creation of a private company: Monaco Royal Limousines, in the purest family tradition of their ancestors.
This business, remarkable for its prestigious customers in Monaco and valued by the fascinating and unique Principality of Monaco, enables them, with pride, to continue the family history created by Léonard Ducrot in 1779.
